An Unexpected Setting

Our original plan for Zarae’s senior photo shoot was a picturesque outing at Shigematsu Memorial Garden in Lansing. However, due to unexpected construction, we had to pivot our plans. Fortunately, the Rose Gardens at Francis Park provided an equally stunning backdrop for Zarae’s portraits. The vibrant colors and enchanting ambiance of the garden created a storybook-like atmosphere that perfectly complemented her personality.

A Hair and Makeup Transformation

To ensure Zarae looked her best for her senior photo shoot, we scheduled a hair and makeup appointment at The Cutting Edge salon in Ionia. Our talented artist transformed her appearance with a flawless makeup application and two stunning hairstyles. The first style was ideal for the elegant Rose Gardens, while the second complemented the more rustic and natural feel of her second location.

Capturing the Beauty of Sessions Lake

Zarae’s second location was Sessions Lake, where she envisioned capturing the golden light and sunset amidst a woodsy setting. We started at the picnic area across the lake, taking advantage of the serene surroundings. Then, we ventured to the boat launch for some unique shots in the water. Zarae’s desire for a combination of natural and artistic elements was perfectly realized in these images.

A Memorable Senior Photo Shoot Experience

Zarae and her mom were thrilled with the final results of her senior session. They purchased a variety of products, including digitals, an album, grad cards, and mini accordion books, to cherish these special memories for years to come. During the reveal and ordering meeting, they watched a slideshow and received a link to share with friends and family. They also selected their favorite images from an online gallery, which they had access to for two weeks. To ensure Zarae’s photos were included in the yearbook, we made sure to select the appropriate images before starting the ordering process.

Zarae’s senior session was a memorable experience that captured her unique personality and style. From the unexpected change in location to the stunning images captured at Sessions Lake, every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed to create a truly special collection of portraits.
