My Student Model Program embarked on a Country Chic adventure in 2023, and the results were absolutely stunning! This theme highlighted the rustic charm and iconic fall vibes.

Country Chic at Bertha Brock Park

I chose Bertha Brock Park as the backdrop because it was a location I hadn’t visited in a while. The park offered a perfect blend of natural beauty and architectural elements that complemented the Country Chic aesthetic. I loved the picturesque brick building for Tessa’s session. It was perfect for capturing the rustic charm of the theme. Her outfit, complete with a cowgirl hat and boots, aligned with the cowgirl vibe, creating a classic and timeless look.

Meanwhile, Bailee’s outfit, an olive top and black leggings, matched the casual aspect of the Country Chic theme so I opted for a more modern and casual Country Chic approach. The front entrance area, with its iconic stone bridge and steps, provided the perfect backdrop for her session.

Country Chic Inspiration and Preparation

I curated a dedicated Pinterest board brimming with outfit inspiration to help my Student Models prepare for their Country Chic sessions. This board showcased a variety of styles and looks that captured the essence of the theme. I love using the Pinterest board because it provides a visual example of what I’m looking for with each theme. I’m also able to pin accessories and other images that match the aesthetic.

I also provide a page on my website, which is called the Student Model Dashboard. It provides information and resources for all high school students. This online hub includes detailed information about each theme, including location suggestions, recommended attire, and a deeper dive into the inspiration behind the concept. I also provide Style Guides and nail prep guides because I want my models to be fully prepared for their photo shoots.

Looking Ahead for this Year

I will be offering the Country Chic theme again this fall. I’m already excited because I plan to use locations that include barns, fields, and horse stables. Hopefully, I will also be able to use hay and cornfields because they enhance the rustic charm.

The Student Model Program

The program is specifically designed for middle & high school students (6th-12th grades) as a fun way to get their portraits taken by a professional photographer, feel like a model and just have a unique experience.

Students who apply are active on social media and are involved in school activities and their community. They have reliable transportation and have good time management skills to participate in 3 photo shoots a year.

Student Models have special Senior Portrait Pricing, receive cash referrals, exclusive themes, discounts on prints, digital images, products, and mini sessions. They have opportunities to earn Model Points, which can be applied to images or sessions.

The Student Model Program offers a variety of locations, poses, and a mix of individual and group photos with the other models. Student Models also gain confidence and learn time management and communication skills by working with a professional.
