A Glamorous New Year’s Eve
New Year’s Eve is a time for celebration, and what better way to capture the magic of the night than with a glamorous photo shoot? This year, we’ve been creating stunning New Year’s Eve portraits that are perfect for sharing on social media.
A Festive Studio Setup
To set the stage for a festive New Year’s Eve celebration, we’ve transformed our studio into a sparkling wonderland. A black seamless paper backdrop provides a dramatic contrast to the colorful props. We’ve adorned the set with a variety of disco balls, from small and sparkly to a large, eye-catching centerpiece. To add a touch of whimsy, we’ve included black, gold, and transparent balloons filled with confetti.
Capturing the Spirit of New Year’s Eve
To capture the spirit of New Year’s Eve, we’ve encouraged our models to embrace their playful side. We’ve provided them with a range of props, including noisemakers, party hats, and “Happy New Year” crowns. We’ve also given them confetti to toss in the air, adding a dynamic and festive element to the photos.
Our models have the freedom to choose their outfits. Some have opted for casual attire, such as jeans and a cute blouse, while others have chosen more glamorous looks, like a sparkly dress or leggings. No matter their style, they all look amazing!
By combining natural light with artificial lighting, we’ve been able to create a variety of lighting setups, from soft and dreamy to bold and dramatic. We’ve also experimented with different camera angles and compositions to capture each model’s unique personality.
The student models were given this Pinterest Board to help with their outfits. My curated Pinterest boards are just one resource for the student models preparing for their photo shoots. Not only are the girls inspired by what to wear, but they can look at fun accessories that will complete their outfits and the vibe that we want to achieve for each theme.
The Student Model Program
The program is specifically designed for middle & high school students (6th-12th grades) as a fun way to get their portraits taken by a professional photographer, feel like a model and just have a unique experience.
Students who apply are active on social media and are involved in school activities and their community. They have reliable transportation and have good time management skills to participate in 4 photo shoots a year.
